Zentangle house on a bookmark
In this post I showed how I like to make a bunch of backgrounds in advance for tangling. I decided to make a bookmark for my Bible with one of my premade backgrounds. One of my favorite ways to tangle is to make quirky landscapes with cute houses. In this post I Zentangled some funky houses in black and white. I also have a post on a larger Zentangled piece where I used some stencils for interest.
Pastel chalks add subtle color perfectly
I don't have much experience at all with pastels. I actually just started playing around with them this year on my Youtube channel. Traditionally used, chalk pastels on canvas show the texture of the canvas which is a nice effect. Most of the paper I work with is very smooth for tangling though. Chalk pastels still work very nicely! I love how they add a soft touch of color to assimilate a blue sky and green grass to my little Zentangled bookmark. Amazon has some very inexpensive pastels here.
And finally a work in progress photo
And lastly, I remembered to take a progress picture this time. I love to see other people's work-in-progress photos myself. Unfortunately, sometimes I forget because I get in the drawing zone and totally zen out and forget about the blogging part. LOL
